Chapter 12 Heaven on
Earth
What would heaven on earth look like? Have you ever
considered what it might be like? Heaven on earth in my mind would be a planet
that loved the earth and loved everyone and everything that inhabited it. The first thing we would need to do to create
heaven on earth is to realize we are all children of a Greater Being that
breathed the breath of life into us all. No one is any better or more deserving of the
basic human needs and rights than anyone else.
There wouldn’t be
wars or aggression. People would have
respect for all races and cultures.
There would be no hunger, air pollution, fatal diseases, and all would
receive what they needed as far as medical car, shelter, and food. All sexes
would receive equal and fair treatment and would be respected for the unique
talents, strengths, and gifts they each shared with others. The greedy and the needy would disappear in a
more fair approach to all life.
Governments would disappear and in their place would be social
groups that would be self contained and self sufficient. Each group would be about five hundred
people. The groups would each have about
five hundred square miles. In those
square miles all things that the group needed would be included in the
community. There would be community gardens that people worked in to raise
healthy organic food for the community, stores for cleaning and distributing the food, and service and spiritual centers to take care of different needs in the
community. There would be schools, and beautiful community parks in each community. There would be community
recreation that was both healthy and not dangerous but fun and invigorating to
keep our bodies healthy and our minds stimulated and uplifted. There would be beautiful music, orchestras and choirs in
each community that lifted others with their heavenly music. There would be
gatherings to share enlightened ideas and other ways to make each community
better and discussions that would
continually make each community more heavenly. Each person would choose an area
that they enjoyed and give service to others in the community. There would not
be a need for any money. Instead
everyone would provide a service to others in the community so that all needs
were met.
Each person would have a beautiful home and they could participate in the creation of it.
It would provide shelter, peace, and happiness to each family that lived in the
home.
The world would be beautiful and all life on the planet would flourish and be healthy. There
would not be murder or killing. All
people would respect all life and take care of it. People would eat healthy
whole foods that didn’t require killing anything. Energy would come from the
sun that doesn’t pollute and is going to be there for a long time. It would not
come from fossil fuel that eventually will run out.
Religions would disappear and in their place would be a
reverence and awe of the beauties of this world. Religion would be replaced
with a deeply spiritual people that weren’t trying to push ideologies,
religions or ideas on others. There
would be places to gather and discuss morality and human kindness and teach
ethics and morals to all in society. Because the society would be so healthy,
children would be raised in healthy and happy homes so there would be less
chance to learn inappropriate ideas and activities. The home would be about
teaching love and service to humanity
There would be free choice but all would make good choices
with their lives because they would understand that good choices bring good
consequences. Everyone would be
anxiously engaged in a good cause whether it be environment, education,
construction, travel, or the ministry. All endeavors would be about service to
other’s or making the world a better and more beautiful place.
There have been many
dogmas and indoctrination given to societies throughout time. Some of those
ideas and dogmas have been very destructive to the world and it’s
inhabitants. Organized religions have
created horrible cruelties to other s in the human race in the name of their
religion and their god. Thousands have
been killed in wars and crusades over religion throughout history. People have
been persecuted for their beliefs. Why do we kill in the name of God? It is
such an incorrect concept. All humanity
on the planet are important and deserve to be respected and have human rights
that need to be preserved.
Some societies and religions are so old and they are so
steeped in their religions that they truly have no freedom. It would be better to have the whole world
start over as far as religion is concerned.
If we had a new religion or better yet spiritual ideology that had a
fresh look at all the things people claim are part of their religion, we might
be able to move toward heaven on earth.
